Art is great!

Art is great!!! Kids love to do anything involving chalk, glue, tape, paper or cutting. The best part about that is the endless possibilities. Rocket ships. Fairy princess dolls. Animals and more. Add a little glitter and you have hours of entertainment. Maybe even days of glittery hair! Let kids be kids and give them the chance to be creative. My super duper husband made us this chalk board with some chalk board paint from the local hardware store. Go buy some and give a wall a coat or two. Your kids will love you for it.

My little Man

This one loves to say DUDE! He currently has a dirty blond helmet for hair and he runs around like a silly old drunk. If you put him on a skate board he can ride it out for quite some feet. He loves going down our driveway. Its fun watching him grow and learn!  A favorite quote I once read said "Don't just stand there Leap!" That defines my little man to a T. He leaps at life and dances with its sweet song. He also loves paint and marker pens. If by chance he gets his hands on one of these you can bet he has tagged a number of things including himself. Just yesterday I had to clean off the computer screen, keyboard, desk, mouse and remote. Purple paint everywhere! He also loves just jumping. We have a large trampoline in our back yard and this boy can jump. His favorite way to jump is in a diaper. He finagles his way out of his clothing for the optimal jumping experience. Its the cutest scene!  My little man is one of the greatest joys that I have known.

Life is sweeter with little people!

Life is sweeter with little people. I am doing the best that I know how to take care of these three little ones. They are full of emotions and constantly living in the moment. I wish that my life was just as simple. Constantly I am stressing over how I am doing as a mother. Do I discipline them correctly.? Am I spoiling them? Are they learning from my example how to love others? It is a crazy thing being a parent. Sometimes when I just live, and stop trying so hard, it is then that I feel most successful!

At what point do we change our eating habits?

Any one seen the new Move called Food Inc.????
I haven't yet but I am extremely excited for the impact that it will have on our food industry.
Pesticides on every fruit and vegetable that we eat.
Synthetic sweeteners.
High fructose corn syrup as the main ingredient.
 Corn corn corn.
Corn that is tampered with and no longer natural.
Home and baby products that are proven to cause side effects.
Ignorance and foolish dependence on our government.
How do we feed our family safe food?
How do we eat organic food within our food budget?
Is it all really necessary?
If you are like me you have had these thoughts for some time but have had no idea what to do about the thoughts. I want you to know that there is a book that can answer all your thoughts and not destroy your life in the process.
Go buy this book! It really is that good.
If you don't like it I will buy it back from you and share it with someone else.
The book is called Super Natural Home by Beth Greer.
My family will reap huge health benefits because Beth took the time to write this book.

Cherries

We will some day do our part in the family business. We have lots and lots of cherries and apples. A small amount of our lots and lots are organic. This GREEN topic is one that I deeply struggle with. We as a country are so far from what was once natural that it would almost be impossible to return to a healthy way of farming. But we as a family will be responsible for our inheritance some day and I wonder what exactly that will mean for us?
I found a few web sites that have been helpful with my own little veggie garden. digginfood.com and ogranicgaredening.com,  yougrowgirl.com , and seedsofchange.com.
It is a crazy thing this short amount of time that we live on earth and make choices. I hope that when the time comes for choices to be made we will choose the ones that will benefit the world as a whole and not just our small world that we exist in.

Christianity

Eccl. 8:15 So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun.

We all went to church today. First time in 3 months.
I am am still trying to figure out why church is such a hard thing for me?
My friend once described her brother as someone who believes life is gray and not just black and white.
I find that it is easy for me to relate with someone who lives more in the gray than in the black and white. The gray folk seem to be more empathetic towards peoples situations.
I have always been a smart ass and a stubborn one at that. I think I  know how it is and what everyone else should think; who is dumb and who is smart. It is a religious way of thinking. I know the way and I need to help everyone else to see the truth.
This last year however has really changed me. The people in my life have helped me see the world differently. And I have been striving to be more optimistic and less judgemental. I would have to say that I am the happiest right now that I have ever been.

So I titled this post Christianity. Nothing makes me more frustrated than Christianity.
Today in church the man speaking said "Kill Religion". I heard him say it. I am so ADD at times that I don't hear a word they say. But I heard those words today and I wanted to shout YES! And kill Christianity and kill judgement and kill all the ugly stuff that churches harbor and grow.
I love the Bible and I love the life of Jesus. The JC dude was awesome and he broke all the rules. Thats my favorite part! Like if he lived today and he still hung out with tax collectors, drunken sailors, truckers and prostitutes we wouldn't even let him in our churches. In fact I often wonder if he would even attend a church. He would maybe church hop.... but wait that is a bad thing to do too. Then a again he did break all the rules!
So today I choose to eat and drink and be glad!  I think that pleases God more than this church and religion stuff.
